PRN - Take As Needed
I named this collection of objects and collages PRN, from the Latin 'pro re nata' meaning 'as circumstances require'. This phrase is often found on prescriptions to describe medications that can be taken as needed. This piece was commissioned by Bethlem Gallery to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NHS, read more on my blog. It examines the relationship I have with the medication I take daily to maintain my mental health. I also collaborated with poet in residence David Gilbert to produce a series of events and to produce a book of our work on the NHS, ReCollections, available at Bethlem Gallery.
